Little did we know that there are many hidden talents that our teachers still possess besides teaching. Embracing learning for life, many of our teachers pursue artistic endeavours on their own. Check out their amazing artworks below.

Treasures
March 2020
Watercolours on Paper
During the start of the pandemic situation last year, this question came to my mind. Who and what is important to me in my life? The answer is very clear that my family matters. I would love to paint a portrait of my children. Hence, I took the opportunity to learn how to do it under the mentor ship of Mr Foo. These are my treasures whom I wish to preserve as fond memories.

March to August 2020
Watercolours on Paper
As artist-teachers, we constantly need to sharpen our skills in artistic practices.
Under the Artist Mentorship Scheme, the 3 art teachers took time amidst their busy schedules to hone their skills. They tried out different painting genres, styles and types of watercolour paints. By going in depth in watercolour painting, they understood the medium better and were also able to transfer their learning experiences. The collection of process paintings that the teachers have created during the mentorship shows their milestone understanding of the medium in different settings especially outdoors.

Yearning
2016
Acrylic Painting on Canvas
A boat is meant for the sea. It is not afraid of the vastness of the ocean or the storms rocking it because it trusts the experience and skillfulness of the fisherman, the captain of the boat. Why is this boat on the shore? It reveals a yearning to return back to where it belongs - the wide expanse of freedom.

Flight
2016
Pen and pencil
I joined the Inktober challenge to make one drawing a day in the month of October. The theme was ‘Flight’ when I drew the angel. Like the angel, we all have wings without realizing it. We have wings of imagination, wings of hope and wings of love. These wings must help us take flight to a better tomorrow for ourselves and for others. Dream. Believe. Achieve your highest potential.
